Seal Clubbing is a PIF by HSUS that aired in 1980.
Humane Society 1980 TV PSA
Description: The PIF begins with footage of both harp seals and northern fur seals. "These seals live thousands of miles apart. Canada and Alaska. But they have certain things in common...fur...and how their fur coats become...our fur coats" It freezes as a man is about to club a seal pup. "If you think the brutality of clubbing seals should be stopped, please support the efforts of the Humane Society of the United States."
The PSA ends with a shot of a seal pup and the address for the HSUS.
FX/SFX: Live action.
Music/Sounds: Low-pitched electronic music. As the PSA freezes on the man about to club a seal pup, we hear an electronic blip.
Availability: Very rare, but can be found on YouTube
Scare Factor: Low to Medium, due to the man about to hit the seal. This can sadden some.
